What is the Awana Grand Prix?
The Awana Grand Prix is a special event held annually by the Awana Clubs, here at FBC.
It's a great opportunity for kids to work on a small project with their parents, or VIP, and to build more than just a car: it's building memories together. : )

How Does It Work?
Buy a Car Kit
Car Kits are $7.
Available at Family Check-in on Wednesday Nights from Dec. thru Jan. *Please Note: This year, at purchase, you will register your racer and CHOOSE your car's racing number within your class.* |
Design & Build
All cars racing for trophies must be made from Car Kits
purchased this year. Your design can be anything and there are special trophies for unique design. Car Building Workshops are available to help you with saws & tools to help bring your design to life. |
Race!
All cars being raced must check-in between 8:00 am on Race Day.
All cars must weight 5oz. according to the scale in our "pit". We recommend attaching your wheels just before the race to ensure the least amount of dirt interfering with the wheels and axles. |

Set-up for the big Race Day.
There will be food, fellowship, and fun; Dads & adult VIP racers are welcome to not only help set-up but prep their cars for the race day (pre check-in, weigh-in, attach wheels and axles, & final inspection). Plus, you're welcome to test the track with past racers for even more fun!
